Resumen
En Chile, se ha insertado una tercera fuerza política, una nueva coalición crítica al neoliberalismo, el Frente Amplio. A partir de su irrupción, distintos académi- cos han analizado su surgimiento y han advertido sus posibles limitaciones al intentar imitar tesis políticas distanciadas al contexto político chileno. En ese marco, el artículo busca complementar esta idea, interpretando el surgimiento y algunas de las definiciones del Frente Amplio desde la perspectiva posmar- xista de Ernesto Laclau y Chantal Mouffe, una construcción teórica que ha sus- tentado a otros proyectos políticos de la actualidad. Finalmente, se analizan las dificultades de interpretar al Frente Amplio desde dicha teoría, ya sea por sus incoherencias con el surgimiento de este proyecto político, como también por su inconsistencia teórica.

Abstract
In Chile, a third political force has appeared: Frente Amplio, a new coalition that criticises neoliberalism. Since its emergence, various academic authors have analysed this uprising as well as warned about the coalition’s possible limitations in trying to imitate political theses distant to the Chilean political context. In this regard, this research aims to complement this idea by interpreting the coalition’s emergence, as well as interpreting some Frente Amplio definitions from the Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe’s post-Marxist perspectives: a theoretical construction that has underpinned other political projects nowadays. Finally, the difficulties in interpreting the Frente Amplio party from such perspectives are analysed, either because of the theories inconsistencies towards the emergence of this political project, or because of its theoretical inconsistency. The research will be based on bibliography and public documents of the main Frente Amplio’s political organizations: Revolución Democrática and Movimiento Autonomista.
