Resumen
El artículo tiene por principal objetivo describir y explicar la renovación teórica-política vivida por el Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) entre 1978-1994, comprendiendo sus distintos postulados y nuevas propuestas, abarcando desde su primera Dirección Nacional Provisoria hasta la irrupción de la Corriente de Renovación Socialista (CRS). Nuestro estudio manifiesta que el cambio vivido por la organización se debe al fracaso de sus primeros años en cuanto a estrategias políticas, junto con la influencia directa de la última revolución triunfante de esta época, es decir, la nicaragüense, pues de ahí se desprenden diversos conceptos que fueron adaptados por el ELN.

Abstract
This article has as a main objective to describe and explain the political-theoretical renovation lived by the National Liberation Army between 1978-1994, understanding its different hypothesis and new proposals, covering from its first “Provisional National Direction” until the burst of the “Socialist Renovation Movement”. Our study shows that the change lived by the organization was due to the failure in its early years regarding political strategies, along with the direct influence of the last triumphant revolution of this period, in other words, the Nicaraguan revolution, since different concepts appear in that period, which were adapted by the National Liberation Army.
